Albany Police investigating Second Avenue shooting


ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany Police are investigating a shooting that occurred on Second Avenue on Tuesday.

On September 10th at about 11:15 p.m., officers responded to Second Avenue for a report of shots fired. Shortly after the call, a male entered the Albany Police South Station with gunshot wounds. The victim, a 34-year-old from Troy, told officers that he was shot by an unknown person while on Second Avenue.

The victim, who sustained three gunshot wounds, was treated at the South Station by medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center Hospital. He is currently admitted to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
