Police: Two teens arrested in connected to armed robbery


SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Two people have been arrested in connection to an armed robbery.

Schenectady Police say a male entered the "One Stop Grocery" on Crane Street around 11:30PM Tuesday night, displaying a handgun.  The man allegedly demanded the store clerk to turn over the safe and the money drawer.

The suspect then fled on foot and was seen in a maroon Honda. 

After officer arrived to the scene, they located the car and identified Feeiaz Yacob, 19, as the suspect. 

The passenger, Haresh Brijraj, 19, was also taken into custody.

Authorities say both men have been charged with one count of Robbery in the 1st Degree.  They are being held in the city lockup pending their arraignment scheduled for Wednesday.

There were no injuries during this incident.
