SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Police in Schenectady say they do not suspect foul play in the death of a woman found dead in a local welding shop.
Police say workers at Swett & Swett Welding returned from their lunch break Tuesday afternoon to find the woman's body. They say she was bleeding heavily and collapsed in the shop before she died.
Police secured the scene, located on Strong Street in Schenectady, near Brandywine Avenue.
"I was terrified," said Miranda Van Buren, whose boyfriend works at the business. "I just wanted to make sure he was ok, so I grabbed my daughter and ran down there."
An autopsy performed Wednesday could not determine if the injuries that resulted in death were intentional or accidental. Police say there is no foul play suspected in the case, and the name of the woman will not be released.
