Pancake breakfast held for local firefighter hit by truck

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. – An All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast will be held Sunday to benefit injured firefighter Allen Ayotte.
Ayotte, 66, was critically injured on August 13th after being struck during a post-accident clean-up on Crescent Road, on the off ramp of the Northway's Exit 8. Police say Ayotte was assisting with the accident scene, providing for scene safety through necessary traffic control, when he was accidently struck by the tow truck he was directing.
According to the West Crescent fire Dept., he has since undergone multiple surgeries to repair fracture and other injuries.
The breakfast will begin at 8 a.m. at the West Crescent Fire House, located at 1440 Crescent Road in Halfmoon, and end at 11:30 a.m.
The menu includes eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, home fries, juice and coffee. Prices are $7 for adults, $6 for seniors, $5 for children 6-12, and children under 5 are free.
