State Liquor Authority to review statements regarding last call in Warren County

WARREN COUNTY, N.Y. - A meeting was held at the Warren County Supreme Court Thursday night regarding the change of last call in the county.

Changing the time of last call at bars has been an ongoing issue with the county and something the Glens Falls Mayor Jack Diamond has been pushing for to reduce crime.

County Attorney Martin Auffredou says during Thursday night's hearing, the public was told to submit written statements to the State Liquor Authority.  Those statements will aid in the decision, which will be made by the State Liquor Authority.  The next meeting with the final decision will be held on September 25.

If last call does change, bars will have to close at 3am instead of the current 4am.

The Warrant County Board of Supervisors originally voted to change last call to 2am, but the resolution was tabled.
