FORT EDWARD, N.Y. – After a Washington County Judge officially charged 30-year-old Kevin King for the death of 3-month-old Baby Brett, he pleaded not guilty to all charges.
On August 11th, authorities say King's infant son, Brett, was brought to the Glens Falls hospital with severe head injuries and internal injuries. State police say King admitted that he was responsible. King allegedly told them he became frustrated when the baby wouldn't stop crying which lead him to pick the baby up, squeeze him and throw him to the ground.
On August 23rd, a Fort Edward Village judge ruled there was enough probable cause to transfer the case to a higher court.
On Thursday, King was charged with second degree murder, manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child. After pleading not guilty, his bail was set to $75,000 cash or $150,000 bond.
The baby's mother has been granted an order of protection.
