ALBANY, N.Y. -- An Albany County police dispatcher has been arrested for allegedly fracturing the skull of his 10-month old child and for assaulting his wife.
Jason Lafountain, 37, is charged with felony assault, DWI and child endangerment. Police say he went to his estranged wife's Colonie home Saturday night, assaulting her and throwing the baby into the corner of a couch, causing injury.
Police say he then drove to his Guilderland home while intoxicated.
The baby is expected to survive and is being treated at Albany Medical Center. Lafountain is due in court Wednesday.
