Saratoga woman's car catches fire after crash in Vermont

POWNAL, VT – A Saratoga Springs woman was involved in a car accident that left her vehicle engulfed in flames.

Vermont State Police say 33-year old Heather Partridge was driving on Route 7, north of Jackson Cross Road, when the crash occurred.

According to authorities, Partridge was driving southbound when she drifted off the edge of the road, causing the vehicle to roll on its side.

A witness told police that the vehicle then began to smoke and caught fire. 

The witness and a few other people helped the woman out of her car.

Partridge was brought to SVMC.  Her condition is unknown.
