Stolen car recovered from Schenectady robbery, one arrested


SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – The Schenectady Police Department says they have recovered the vehicle which was allegedly stolen this weekend during a robbery.

Early Sunday morning, 32-year old Juan Sanchez was on State Street when he reported to police that eight black males approached him and one displayed a weapon. That is when they allegedly took $700 and keys to Sanchez's car.

Police tell NEWS10 that the vehicle was located on Monday morning. Officers saw the Chrysler Pacifica parked in front of 241 McClellan Street.

The operator of the vehicle, 17-year-old Deymeen McMillian of Schenectady was taken into custody and charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property, Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.
