Albany gas prices higher than the average, but lower than prices a year ago

ALBANY, N.Y. – In the past week, gas prices have risen in the Capital Region.

According to GasBuddy, the average cost per gallon has risen 5.2 cents in the past week.  This brings the average gallon of gas to $3.76 as of Monday.

The national average has increased by 4.1 cents per gallon brings the national average to $3.61.

Although the price per gallon has risen, prices yesterday were still 16.1 cents lower per gallon, than one year ago on the same day.

It is also 3.4 cents per gallon lower than August 2, 2013.
