Vermont man accused of driving drunk with children

BENNINGTON, VT – Vermont State Police say one man drove drunk with two children in the vehicle.

On Monday night, Troopers received a call that there was a person operating a car that may have been intoxicated.

As officers investigated, they found the vehicle on School Street. Police say the driver, 31-year-old Michael Martin, cooperated with officers when he was pulled over.

Authorities determined with a breath test that Martin was intoxicated. He was brought to the Shaftsbury Barracks for processing.

Martin have been convicted for DWI in 2006, during which time, he refused a breath sample which lead to the charge of criminal refusal.

He also faces child endangerment charges.
