Police: Man robbed of cash and car


SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -  The Schenectady Police Department says there was an early morning robbery on State Street on Sunday.

Schenectady Police say the robbery took place around 5 a.m. Sunday at an unknown address on State Street.  The 32-year-old victim told authorities that a group of about eight black males, one with a handgun, allegedly robbed him. 

Juan Sanchez of Cohoes says the men took $700 in cash and keys to his car.

Police say at least one suspect then took off in the stolen vehicle.

The vehicle is described as a blue 2005 Chrysler Pacifica with a NY license plate FLH-5662.  Police are still searching for the vehicle.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

There are no descriptions of the suspects.

The incident is still under investigation. If anyone has any information they are encouraged to contact Schenectady police.
