ALBANY, N.Y. - Flags will fly at half-staff on Wednesday in honor of a New York man who died in Afghanistan.
Governor Cuomo has directed all flags on state government buildings to be at half-staff on September 4 to honor Army Staff Sgt. Mihcale Ollis, who was wounded when his operating base was attacked. He was brought to a medical treatment facility where he died.
Ollis is from Staten Island, one of the boroughs of New York City.
Ollis was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment of the 10th Mountain Division's 1st Brigade Combat Team at Fort Drum.
