ROCHINGHAM, VT – Vermont State Police rescued one man and two children who were lost in the woods.
On Saturday night, a woman contacted police stating her husband and two children were hiking on Bromely Mountain and became lost.
According to police, the man, 43-year old Thomas Peles, strayed from the trail with the children, ages 5 and 7.
Peles, who resides in Manhattan, was able to contact his wife with his cell phone, which was then used by police to gain the man's coordinates.
State Police and a canine hiked the mountain and found Peles and his children about one mile into the woods.
No one was injured.
