Police: Woman vandalizes car over bingo grudge

EAST GREENBUSH, N.Y. - Police say a Watervliet woman, holding some sort of grudge against a fellow bingo player, was arrested last Wednesday for vandalism.

East Greenbush Police say 67-year-old Joanne Winaroski was arrested after a witness watched her go up to a parked car in the American Legion lot and proceeded to scratch the driver's door by dragging a key or similar sharp object against the car paint.

The witness alerted the car owner, a 66-year-old Slingerlands woman, who called police.

Winaroski was arrested inside the bingo hall, where a large crowd gathered to play, after the 86-year-old witness pointed her out to police.

She was arraigned in the town court and issued an order of protection against the victim.
