PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- New Massachusetts senator Edward Markey is spending the majority of his day in western Massachusetts.
Markey began his tour this morning by visiting with the Pittsfield mayor, followed by a meeting with local business owners. He then will head to Chicopee, and end the day in Springfield with a tour with the mayor.
The senator won a special election in June and filled the seat left vacant by John Kerry's resignation from senate to become secretary of state.
