SCHENECTADY, N.Y. - Police in Schenectady have arrested a man for allegedly recording women in his home bathroom and sharing the video on a website.
The Schenectady County District Attorney's Office says Keifer Wray, of 356 Michigan Avenue, is accused of placing a hidden camera disguised as a silver clock inside his bathroom and recording at least three females who were visiting at his Schenectady apartment. Wray is accused of then posting the videos to the internet.
The situation was discovered two weeks ago by an unnamed victim who was using the facilities and noticed the camera in the clock.
"She recognized a light on an alarm clock, or what looked like an alarm clock and it drew her attention to that," said Schenectady County Assistant District Attorney Jessica Lorusso.
Lorusso says the victim did a bit more checking and saw that the clock had a USB port in the back of it. She became suspicious then contacted police.
The DA's office says the victim was using Wray's computer at one point and also discovered herself in a video on the internet.
Officials believe the recordings have been taking place for about eight months.
Lorusso says they seized Wray's computer as evidence and have identified at least three other possible victims. Anyone who has been to Wray's home and feels they may be a victim are urged to contact Schenectady Police.
Wray has been charged with unlawful surveillance and dissemination of an unlawful surveillance image.
