ALBANY, N.Y. -- Firefighters say a fire broke out at about 8 p.m.
Thursday night at Rensselaer Iron and Steel, located at 35 Riverside Ave.
The Fire Chief Foust says the flames started in a pile of
steel and somehow spread to the building.
Crews have since pulled the steel pile apart and watered
down the hot spots. The chief says there was a high level of concern when the
call first came in due to explosions.
He says one firefighter was transported to the hospital
with non-life threatening injuries.
