ALBANY, N.Y. – Governor Cuomo says $71 million is now available to build thousands of affordable housing units in New York.
The funds are through New York State Homesa & Community Renewal (HCR).
Cuomo believes this funding will advance New York's housing goals which include Disaster Relief Projects, Fort Drum Impact Area projects, and Mixed-income/Mixed-use revitalization, along with another eight housing goals.
Funds are available through Unified Funding Application.
One of three workshops in the state will be held in Albany on Monday, September 9 at 10AM at the Hampton Plaza Ballroom on State Street.
The deadline for Early Round projects is Thursday, October 10, 2013. Other project applications are due Thursday, December 5, 2013.
