First time decision for Republican voters in Saratoga in more than 30 years
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – This election season will hold a first in more than 30 years for Republican voters in Saratoga Springs.
The 113th Assembly district will have a choice of who will represent them on the state GOP committee. Thirty-two-year-old Rob Arrigo and 53-year-old Elaine Gerber, are running for the same position and with the same message. Both candidates are looking for reform, citing their disagreement of the SAFE Act, which was passed earlier this year.
Arrigo and Gerber will face Shirley Needham and Todd Kusnierz for the state committee vacancies.
The race will be decided on September 10th, which is the same night as the Republican nomination for Saratoga County Sheriff.
