ALBANY, N.Y. -- The 141st annual NYS Firemen's Association Convention kicks off Wednesday as volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel from around the state gather in Albany.
The event continues until Friday, and fire officers, commissioners and others will be on hand at the Albany Desmond to discuss issues important to the states nearly 92,000 volunteer emergency services personnel.
The three-day venture includes a Youth Day; featuring would-be volunteer firefighter's ages 14 to 19 from across the state participating in fire service activities like tower drills, rescue training, and fire suppression demonstrations.
