RENSSELAER, N.Y. - A wounded warrior will be united for the first time with his service dog on Saturday.
Cpl. Jeremy Walton served two trou in Iraq and suffers from PTSD. Walton has been a part of Wounded Warrior events provided by STRIDE Adaptive Sports, a local non-profit, to help his PTSD.
Walton has applied to a number of organizations to receive a service dog to continue his healing process. Now, Walton will meet his 8-month-old service dog, Alanna, a chocolate Labrador Retriever.
Alanna is making a trip to the Albany International Airport from Washington State on Saturday.
STRIDE is hosting a "Dog Shower" to support Walton and his new companion.
