ALBANY, N.Y. –
A 22-year-old has pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon in relation
to a shooting in downtown Albany.
Tashiron Gaddy, 22, of
Albany, pleaded guilty to one Count of felony Attempted Criminal Possession of
a Weapon in the Second-Degree in Albany County Court this morning.
On May 19, 2013 on
South Pearl Street in the City of Albany, Gaddy and several of his friends were
involved in a fight with multiple individuals outside of a deli. As the fight
escalated, he pulled out a handgun from the waistband of another individual and
fired a single shot towards the group he was fighting.
He faces up to 6 years
in state prison to be followed by 5 years of Post Release Supervision when
sentenced on October 3, 2013.
