ALBANY, N.Y. -- The annual New York State Food Festival is coming back to the Empire State Plaza, and this year, some rock favorites are coming with it.
"The annual New York Food festival is without question one of the most popular and most flavorful events at the Empire State Plaza each summer," said NYS Office of General Services Commissioner RoAnn Destito.
Blues Traveler is headlining the event, and local musicians will be there along with performers from Cirque Eloize, more than 50 specialty food vendors, and the popular plaza farmers market.
The free festivities are on Wednesday, August 14th from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. free parking will be available beginning at 5 p.m. in the Cathedral lot off Madison Avenue and in the East Garage, located on the corners of Madison Avenue, Eagle Street, and Philip Street.
No alcoholic beverages, coolers, or glass containers of any kind will be allowed. Nor will any pets or animals, excluding ADA-defined service animals.
