National Night Out – America's Night Out Against Crime - is a chance for neighbors to get to know one another as well as local law enforcement and emergency personnel in an effort to prevent crime and drugs within the community. This year marks the event's 30th anniversary.

The event has grown to involve 37 million people across 15,000 communities in all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide.
