Schenectady man killed in Glenville crash

GLENVILLE, N.Y. -- A 21-year-old Schenectady County man was killed in a two car accident in Glenville on Friday afternoon.

The Glenville Police Department says Luke Mitchell of Pattersonville pulled out on Route 5 into the path of a ford truck driven by his friend.

Police say Mitchell disregarded the red light when he pulled out in front of 25-year-old Sam Orologio, who only suffered minor injuries.

Ironically, both men knew each other and were friends, and had just talked about a half an hour earlier when Mitchell stopped by Orologios place of work.

The investigation is ongoing and it appears alcohol may have been a factor for Mitchell.
