PITTSFIELD, Mass. - The Berkshire Community College announced that starting Thursday, August 1st, they will be going smoke-free in order to limit exposure to second-hand smoke on campus.
The policy, which includes the burning of tobacco or any other material in any type of smoking equipment, encompasses all property owned and operated by BCC.
The say their decision to go smoke-free is following a trend occurring on college campuses nationwide.
They will offer assistance to those who wish to quit smoking through a smoking cessation program in collaboration with Berkshire Health Systems.
