WHITEHALL, N.Y. – Two men face felony charges after a month-long investigation into the assault of a juvenile and reported cases of underage youths being provided alcohol and marijuana at a Main Street residence.

On Saturday,  police concluded the investigation and arrested 20-year-old Zachary R. Macy and 21-year-old David H. Wilcox, both residents of the Main Street home.

Macy and Wilcox are both reported to have been present and to have participated in burning the bare skin of a juvenile with a hot lighter. They were also reported to have allowed subjects under the age of 21 to consume alcohol and smoke marijuana that they had provided during the month of July.

Police say that when Wilcox became aware of the investigation and the fact the victim was cooperating with law enforcement , he is alleged to have threatened the victim.

Macy was charged with a felony count of assault in the second degree, as well as a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a child.

Wilcox was charged two felony counts, including one for assault in the second degree and one for intimidating a witness in the third degree. He was also charged with misdemeanor counts of unlawfully dealing with a child in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a  child.

Macy and Wilcox were arraigned in Whitehall Village Court and remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond.
