FORT ANN, N.Y. - The Washington County Sheriff's Office says they made dozens of arrests after the annual Log Bay Day boat party held in Lake George on Monday.
Murphy says the New York State Forrest Rangers held a road check on Sly Pond in the Town
of Fort Ann on Monday and issued a total of: 26 Traffic Tickets, four
Driving While Intoxicated arrest, five unlawful possession of marihuana, ten
underage drinking, one resisting arrest, one False Impersonation, one possession of a
forged instrument and five open container violations.
The party known as Log Bay Day has been held for years on the last
Monday in July on the water and along the eastern shore of Lake George.
Scores of boats
anchor in the shallow, sandy bay while other partiers pack the shore of
the state-owned land. Some years, police have made dozens of
alcohol-related arrests on land and on the water.
