Gloversville police attempt to ID man who stole cigarettes

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y. - The Gloversville Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a white male responsible for a burglary at a local convenience store early Sunday morning.

Officers were dispatched to Country Farms, at 198 S Main Street, at 5:15 a.m. and found a hole in the glass door. Video surveillance showed the male kicked the door and then crawled through before stealing several packs of Newport Cigarettes.

The suspect was wearing a dark colored shirt with a smiley face and the word "neff" on it, in light blue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Gloversville Police Department Detective Division at 773-4505.
