Charities take local youth to ValleyCats game

TROY, N.Y. – The Tri-City ValleyCats will help host RBC Kids' Night at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium Tuesday.

A group of 85 people, including children from the Ronald McDonald House, Albany Medical Center, Salvation Army of Schenectady, Albany PAL and St. Catherine's Center for Children will attend the 7 p.m. ValleyCats game Monday night.

The event, sponsored by RBC Wealth Management, will allow the kids to sit in the stadium suite while enjoying free hot dogs, hamburgers and ice cream. They will also receive a free hat and get the chance to watch the post-game firework display.

"Our goal is to give these kids a positive memory that they can look back to whenever they experience adversity in the future," said Thomas Brockley, RBC Wealth Management Capital Region Branch Director.

The ValleyCats will face Connecticut for the second consecutive day.
