RENSSELAERVILLE, N.Y. – The Albany County Sheriff's Office says an 83-year-old woman died Thursday night after a car crash near 5033 Delaware Turnpike in Rensselaerville.
Sheriff Craig Apple says the victim has been identified as Lorraine Ferris of Albany.
Apple tells NEWS10 it appears Ferris's car went through a stop sign, hit a guy wire on a pole, and teetered over a ravine. He said the wire stopped the car from actually going down the ravine.
Crews stabilized the car, in order to get the victim out of the wreck.
