Troy PD asking for public’s help after two alleged abduction attempts

TROY, N.Y. -- Troy Police are asking for the public's assistance after they say a man tried to abduct two women.

One of the victims told NEWS10 a driver circled her three times in an alleyway near 103rd Street between 2nd and 5th Avenues while she was walking home from the laundromat. She claims the last time he circled her, he cut the car in front of her at an angle.

She claims the man was conducting a lewd act and tried to grab at her through his car window, but a neighbor happened to walk out his back door, scaring the man off. She says another woman told her the same thing had happened to her. She ran off and called to her adult sons who then followed the man's sedan in their pickup, but he got away when he sped through a series of red lights. She tells NEWS10 that another woman told her the driver was the same man who had tried to abduct her 15 minutes earlier.

The victim describes the driver as a white male in his 30's with a heavy build and buzz cut blonde hair. He is tall and overweight, driving a newer model Camry which was black in color.

If you think you know this person or something about this case, you are asked to call Troy Police at #518-605-1628.
