Sheriff: Man arrested for stealing golf cart in Warrensburg


WARRENSBURG, N.Y. – An Oregon man has been arrested by The Warren County Sheriff's Office after the owner Cronin's Golf Course located him in a golf cart that been reported stolen earlier that day.

At approximately 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, the Sheriff's office received a report of a larceny of a 2010 Yamaha golf cart from the golf course, located at 515 Golf Course Road.

Police say that when the owner of the golf course learned of the theft, he began to check the area in his vehicle and located 28-year-old Jamie Harden, of Lincoln City, Oregon, on the golf cart valued at approximately $4,700 on River Street.

Harden, who was in the area working for a local contractor, was taken into custody and charged with a felony count of grand larceny.

He was processed at the Sheriff's Office and is being held in lock-up awaiting arraignment in Warrensburg Town Court.
