Man faces five felony charges after crash


SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – A 44-year-old homeless man was arrested Sunday after having allegedly taken a vehicle from the area of 28 Jefferson Street before being involved in a crash.

Manuel Olmo is reported to have been operating the vehicle accident when it was involved in a crash on Jefferson Street before fleeing the scene. Police say they located the vehicle a few blocks away on Cottage Street.

Olmo was charged with five felony counts, including vehicular assault, reckless endangerment, assault, criminal mischief and criminal possession of a weapon. He was also charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated unlicensed operation and menacing, all misdemeanors, and reckless driving, a violation.
