Business owner arrested for allegedly selling stun guns

GEORGE, N.Y. – A 51-year-old business owner has been arrested after the Warren
County Sheriff's Office received a tip that his business was selling stun guns.
July 18, the Warren County Sheriff's Office received information that the Lake
George Trading Post at 325 Canada St., was selling stun guns. The business was checked, and three
electronic stun guns were found for sale in a display case.
Porter, 51, of State Route 9 in Lake George, was arrested for the class A
misdemeanor of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the fourth-degree. Porter is owner of the business and he
admitted to ordering the stun guns and to having them for sale in his
issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Lake George Town
Court in August.
