Police attempt to identify masked convenience store robbers

LIVINGSTON, N.Y. - New York State Police are seeking the public's assistance in identifying two people involved in an armed robbery at the Germantown Xtra Mart convenience store.

Police say the robbery occurred Wednesday around 11:30 p.m. at the Route 9G store.

The suspects, one armed with a long gun and the other with a silver/black semi-automatic pistol, entered the store and demanded money from the clerk, police say. Both suspects are believed to be white males, thin builds and between 5'8" and 5'10" tall.

Police believe the shorter suspect is responsible for a second armed robbery which occurred at the Blue Stores Xtra Mart, on Route 9 in Livingston, on June 27th. During this robbery, the suspect was again armed with a silver/black semi-automatic pistol and wearing what appears to be the same clothing to include the same blue/green skull type mask. The stores are about 4.5 miles apart.
