ALBANY, N.Y. -- Gas prices are on the rise and a gallon of gas could increase 15 to 20 cents over the next two weeks.
A rise in demand and short supply are causing prices at the pump to increase drastically. Many experts are also blaming the volatile issues in the Middle East, specifically Egypt.
These rising prices are causing local drivers to search out the best deals in town.
"I'm a complainer but there's nothing I can do -- I have to get to work. All I can afford is gas to get to work so it's not like I'm going anywhere extra, by any means," said Lansingburgh resident Jillian Quintal.
This time last year, the national average for a gallon of gas was $3.38.
