Mom accused of hiring strippers for son's birthday looks to dismiss case

MOREAU, N.Y. - Lawyers for a Saratoga County mother who allegedly hired strippers for her son's 16th birthday party entered a motion for dismissal Thursday morning in Moreau Town Court.

33-year-old Judy Viger, of Gansevoort, pleaded not guilty to five counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child after allegedly hiring exotic dancers to perform at a bowling alley in South Glens Falls for the birthday party. Police say five of the party attendees, including Viger's son, were under the age of 17.

The judge will give his decision on whether or not to dismiss the case in writing.

Police were notified about the party by other teens' parents when they observed photos posted on social networking sites from the November 3, 2012 party. Viger was charged after an investigation revealed that she organized, managed, and paid for a the party "where two female entertainers were hired and introduced to perform personal and intimate dances for some party attendees."
