FBI offering $100,000 reward in JFK Airport theft


NEW YORK -- The FBI is offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information leading to the recovery of $1.2 million stolen between June 21 and June 24, 2013 during transit from Switzerland to New York.

The U.S. currency shipment arrived at JFK Airport onboard Swiss International Air Lines Flight LX 16. The reward is being offered by the company who insured the money.

The matter is being investigated by the FBI and the Port Authority Police Department. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 212-384-1000. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
