Officers respond to possible child drowning in Moreau


MOREAU, N.Y. - The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office says a 6-year-old child is being treated after a possible drowning incident at a home in the town of Moreau Thursday afternoon.

The Sheriff's Office responded to the home on Criander Drive for a scare of the 6-year-old drowning in a pool. Deputies and family members attempted to resuscitate the child, who was subsequently taken to Glens Falls Hospital by EMS. The child was conscious and semi-responsive at the time of transport.

The child has since been transported to Albany Medical Center for treatment.

The incident is under investigation.
