Possible pipe bomb picked up at Troy apartment building
TROY, N.Y. - Police units have removed what could be a pipe bomb from a Troy apartment building and now have cleared the scene.
Police cordoned off the area of Building 4 of the Taylor Apartments at 125 River Street in Troy after a possible pipe bomb was discovered around 11:50 a.m. The scene is now clear and the "bomb" is being submitted from analysis by the State Police Bomb Disposal Unit.
Troy Police Captain John Cooney says an individual walking his dog in the area discovered what police determined to be a possible pipe bomb.
