State of emergency issued in Town of Johnsburg

JOHNSBURG, N.Y. – Warren County and Town of Johnsburg employees and emergency responders have responded to numerous locations within the Town of Johnsburg and others throughout the County that have experienced flooding or damage due to the rain.

Johnsburg Town Supervisor, Ronald G. Vanselow, has declared a state of emergency in the Town of Johnsburg due to the damages from the flooding.

Officials request that residents limit unnecessary travel in the flooded areas to allow emergency responders and highway personnel clear access to those in need and address infrastructure damages.

Officials recommend that if residents can do so safely, to stay in contact with neighbors in the event they should need assistance.
