Police arrest 2 in Albany stabbing case

ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany detectives have arrested an 18-year old in connection with a stabbing that occurred on Hunter Avenue.

On June 21, 2013 at about 5:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Colby Street and Hunter Avenue for a report of an assault. When they arrived, officers found a 24-year-old man with several puncture wounds.

The victim was treated at the scene by medical personnel and transported to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries, and has since been released.

Nicholas Lewis, 18, of Albany, was arrested and charged with Attempted Murder in the second-degree Tuesday evening following an investigation.

Detectives also charged Lewis's friend, Brandie Hensmen, 31, of Albany, with Conspiracy for her role in the incident.

Both were arraigned Wednesday morning in the Albany City Criminal Court and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
