AUSTERLITZ, N.Y. (AP) - State police say a 47-year-old Hudson Valley woman was more than two times over the legal limit for driving while intoxicated when she drove the wrong way on the Taconic State Parkway.
Troopers say they arrested Melissa Riccio of Kingston around 3 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a vehicle traveling south in the northbound lanes of the Taconic in the Columbia County town of Austerlitz.
Police says she was driving with a suspended license and had a blood-alcohol content of .20 percent, well over the legal limit of .08 percent.
Ricco was charged with aggravated DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation and reckless endangerment. It couldn't be determined if she had a lawyer.
