TROY, N.Y. – Getting a dog or cat vaccinated can be expensive, but the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, in conjunction with Lynn Kopka and the Washington Park and Osgood neighborhoods, will conduct a low-cost vaccination clinic in Troy.
The clinic will offer rabies vaccinations and distemper shots for just $10 each. They will also put a microchip pets for just $10.00 as well. Appointments are not necessary and pets will be seen on a first-come, first-serve basis.
"These activities are directly related to our mission and aimed at keeping area pets healthy. We want to help keep disease at a minimum. Rabies shots are required by law and the more animals who have distemper shots, the less likely it is that the disease will spread," stated MHHS Executive Director Brad Shear. "We know first-hand if an animal is lost, micro chipping helps owners find the pet in a more timely manner."
The clinic will take place Tuesday June 25 at Discovery Hall, 426 Second St. in Troy from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
