QUEENSBURY, N.Y. - A group of 20 restaurant workers collected a $1 million check from the New York Lottery on Thursday.
The group of 20 coworkers from the Ninety Nine Restaurant in Queensbury won $1 million from the May 18th Powerball drawing that also won a lucky Florida woman $590.5 million, the highest jackpot in Powerball history.
The second-place $1 million winning ticket was purchased on Saturday at a
Hess Express store in Queensbury, the store manager tells NEWS CENTER. Each employee is expected to get around $50,000 before taxes.
The check was presented to them Thursday morning at the Aviation Mall restaurant where they work.
