Love triangle results in death of Hudson Falls man
DANBY, Vt. - Vermont State Police are currently investigating the death of a 28-year-old Hudson Falls man who was allegedly shot by the current boyfriend of his ex-girlfriend.
Police say during the early morning hours of June 16th the victim, Aaron Allen, arrived at the residence of his ex-girlfriend in Danby, where he attacked and stabbed his
22-year-old ex-girlfriend multiple times.
The current boyfriend of the woman, 24-year-old Michael White of Danby, was present at the residence
and witnessed the attack in progress. It was then that White allegedly discharged a rifle, of an
undetermined make and caliber, striking Allen twice.
Allen has since succumbed to his injuries while at
Rutland Regional Medical Center. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the cause and manner of
Police say the woman currently has an active restraining order from New York
against Allen. Allen also has criminal charges pending in New York, involving
this same female, for an incident that occurred in April 2013.
The female victim is still currently
being treated at Rutland Regional Medical Center and is expected to survive. The identity of the female is being withheld
per policy, as a victim of domestic violence.
There is no word what, if any, charges will be filed against White.
Police say the investigation is active and on-going. Anyone with information about this
