Teens accused of firing BB gun at school bus


AVERILL PARK, N.Y. - New York State Police have arrested two juveniles for allegedly firing a BB gun at a moving school bus in the Town of Sand Lake.

Police say the 14-year-old and 15-year-old, who will be left unnamed, fired at an Averill Park School District bus Friday morning while it was transporting children to school.

Both juveniles were arrested for Reckless Endangerment, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Criminal Mischief 3rd-degree.

The 14-year-old was additionally charged with Reckless Endangerment and Criminal Mischief 3rd-degree for allegedly firing at the Jiffy Mart in Sand Lake on Thursday.

Both were given Family Court appearance tickets and released.
