GLENVILLE, N.Y. -- The section of Glenridge Road from Bruce Drive to Maple Avenue will close Friday night, June 21st for about two months as part of an ongoing reconstruction project.
The work will replace the bridge carrying Glenridge Road over the Alplaus Kill, realign and rebuild the section of the road that will be closed, and add a roundabout where Glenridge intersects with Maple Avenue.
The closure is right near Glenville's border with Clifton Park. Traffic will be detoured onto Route 146 (Balltown Road), Riverview Road, Alplaus Avenue and Maple Avenue. The New York State Department of Transportation advises commuters to plan ahead to avoid delays and reminds motorists that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone.
The closure is expected to last until September 8th and should reopen in time for the opening of schools after summer vacation.
